Remember that rug at Ikea? The one I hugged? It's on my floor. Finally. It only took 8 months, but it's finally sitting in the middle of my livingroom, and every time I look at it, it makes me happy. Of course, it doesn't match my beige floral handmedown couch at all, but that's ok; it matches this one.

(And yes, there was more hugging involved.)

wow what a couch, its beautiful. so simple and devine in its whitness!! although, (not to burst your bubble or anything)the practical part of me suggests that its the multi millionaire with no children kind of couch, but that is probably just the colour!!
i look forward to the day that the huggable?? couch makes it to your home

Good for you! That looks like a fun rug. We finally got around to ordering a grown-up sofa, and it does start to look like we're making a home instead of just a pile of toys and books.

Hey! Kate got a blog!!!! Yay!!!!!!

Kate, I know, the whiteness.....but, here's the beauty of it: It's a slipcover! So, you can take it off and throw it in the wash! Seriously, what is not to love about Ikea?

And Lady M, that's it exactly. Although the pile of books and toys covering the rug really doesn't add to that feeling.

Thanks for the welcome to my new home Kimberly.
I have to apologise madly but I have forgottent the rug. today has been a little insane and I haven't had a chance to look through the archives, so can you Puleeeeeeese take a photo of it in its magnificent new surroundings to enliven my disgustingly poor memory?
Oh and yes I am starting to love the IKEA brand too, wonder if I can get it here!!

About Me

You say "Single Mom," I say "Solo Mom." In my world, it's all about having your priorities in order, and getting my whites whiter than white is never, ever going to be a priority. Helping my girls paste glitter to their artwork, that's a priority. Sometimes I hide in the bathroom to get a bit of peace and quiet. But I never have to share the kisses.
