Silver Lining

One good thing about the temperature dropping into the negatives: Between the snowpants, the scarf, and the toque, nobody can tell that you've just rolled out of bed and haven't bothered to get dressed yet when you drop the kid off at school.

Unless, of course, said kid decides to anounce to the assembled mommies and daddies that Mama isn't wearing any pants.

ROFLOL! Having not experienced negative temps for 19 years I can't say I speak from experience although I do remember my big girl telling the teacher that "mummy let me walk into school all by myself today because she was still in pyjamas in the car". Good on ya mum, everyone needs to get a slouchy day.

your priority is your child, not what you have on. or in this case what you dont have on. you did what you needed to do. i roll out of bed every morning in my pajamas and do what you do. no bra on, pajamas still on and dont even brush hair. you rock. kids will be kids. and that is the most important thing. you go girl!

Ah, since moving back to California, I've had to brush my hair in the morning! Thanks for making me smile.
Best,

I know exactly how you feel. I often take the kids to school with my robe on! I always worry what would I do if I had car trouble How embarrassing!Just getting them to up and to school ontime feels like a major accomplishment some mornings.

About Me

You say "Single Mom," I say "Solo Mom." In my world, it's all about having your priorities in order, and getting my whites whiter than white is never, ever going to be a priority. Helping my girls paste glitter to their artwork, that's a priority. Sometimes I hide in the bathroom to get a bit of peace and quiet. But I never have to share the kisses.
